Bid Whist - Classic App Reviews

This game is alright for passing time, BUT as a serious player, it is a complete let down. It doesnt count what you make, it doesnt calculate a BOSTON, the computer renigs(?), computer partner is horrible and you cannot not always see the fallen card before it is abruptly snatched. I had some who are trying to ,earn the game download it but they are. Enter off sitting at the table with us!!!! I am here because I actually had to delete the game and reload it because I played the Big Joker and I was taken by a lower trump . . . WTW!!! I refused to play that out!!! BUT, again it is a good time passing game!

I gave this game a 1 star because 0 was not available. You cant see what other players have played because the cards are scooped up so fast. You cant see the kitty separately. The game is abruptly ended when you are set. I can no longer enjoy my favorite game!

The partner plays all trump ans saves losers for look last. Partner does always play best card and will out play partner. Also, the no trump" play is terrible. Never play Aces and open suits until ready?

Good game. The partner seldom makes dumb plays. Only critique is to have a ranking system in the bid. A 4-No should be able to win the kitty over a 4-high. Shouldnt have to go up in number. Fix that please

Does not work! If bid is one you cant put any cards in he kitty. If you have a legitimate stuff, tap forever but it then stops working and crashes. Worked before last update.......USELESS now. Wish I could rate it no stars!

Cards dont sort, partner does nothing, bid screen flashes by, and cards flash by.

Partner, can you PLEASE BID! My whole family is hooked to this app and continues to play it so please make the changes... Please please please... We would even pay to play this app LOL

Where do I start, Im glad that there is a game but before you do any updates please talk to someone who knows the game. I know that those of us who love bit with us will often have a problem with a partner who plays poorly, But a partner who holds onto aces or God for bid the jokers and Saizen to the end of the game or even worse cuts his partner so he can play his aces is ridiculous please make the fixes making people did when they dont want to or have nothing in their hands is not bid whist pls add end game as a option One more thing holding aces or wild cards til then end or to use trump to cut out your partner is a bad move pls fix

There are many holes in this game. Partner plays against the logic of the "real" game. Needs work but has potential. Either the programming doesnt work as intended or the programmer needs a clearer understanding of the nuances of the game. PLEASE, PLEASE fix this game. It could be fun and addictive if the play was more natural or logical. In the "real" game, my partner would NEVER sit on a Joker or an ace when logic dictates that it be played. And my partner would NEVER play a trump card on a book that Ive won. Find an expert; consult a website. This could be my favorite.

But I continue to play. What I like is that the game is fast. No wasted time watching cards animate slowly. I also like that the round ends once someone sets. What I dont like 1) there is no order for bidding; 2) turns seem to be random - severs turns in a row, Im the dealer; 3) the partner NEVER bids; you as the player always bid last whether or not youre the dealer; 5) I win most of the time because I end up setting the computer. Even still I play because I like this better than the other bid whist options in the App Store.

When Im playing I often want to put my earbuds in and listen to my music. Unfortunately, the music stops when the game is activated. Not good! Problem is that the music plays sometimes and stops sometimes. Ive loaded and deleted the app several times over the last couple of years and this inconsistency is nerve racking!!

The game Bid Whist is my all time favorite card game ever, but this game is highly flawed. #1 Whoever created this game did not do their research of the game very well. #2. Bidding should began at 3downtown, 3uptown, 3no trump up or down. #3. Why is it my partner never bids. #4. Player at my left always bids no trump when I have both jokers. #5. When a player and his or her partner wins all the books in that game its called a Boston and is highly celebrated. #A lot of the time, my partner plays like an idiot. With this being said, the game is not bad, but with more research it could be a lot better.

This game needs a serious update! Its a shame that you have to consider your partner throwing books away before bidding in this game. I know when the opposite team bids no trump, either my partner or I will have the jokers. Like other reviewers have stated, the bidding system is all off. Also, it would be nice if you included 3 player or 4 player whist. Ill continue to play the game because it is fast paced.

I cant open the app on my phone...only on my iPad. Whats up with that? Also cutting out your partner is ok only if you are trying to get non-trump cards to become leading cards to play for a win. Learn the game then Fix the game.

I dont like this version of Bid Whist. It really doesnt allow you to go to seven with your partner. Sometimes the computer doesnt play correctly.

I love the game especially the fact that the game ends when the player is set, but I do not like the fact that I can only see 12 of my 13 cards, I cannot set the speed in which The cards are played (goes too fast) and I cannot turn the screen to wide angle shot. With these glitches I am assuming this is done on purpose to keep the stats low (more wins to the computer) and to keep the player thirsty for more wins. Down side...because I will bid a not rump only to later find I have two jokers that were not visible in the initial screen it makes me want to quit and delete! Please fix. Thank you Also can you make it to where your partner does NOT cut you????

This apps needs to be revamped by someone who truly knows the game. The computer "partner" never bids, pulls trump when not needed and undercuts the human player. Needs serious work

Ive tried deleting it & reloading the app. It still freezes! So frustrating!!! Maybe I played it too much.

Cant discard cards for kitty.
